Service: VTS(ECC) Exam Prep (the “Service”), at eccvtsprep.com
Provider: VTS(ECC) Exam Prep, operated by Ari Kleine (“we,” “us,” “our”)
Contact: arikleine@gmail.com
The Service is currently in a free, invitation-only beta. No fees are charged and no payment information is collected. The subscription and payment terms below will apply only if and when paid plans launch, and will be finalized before then.
1. Agreement to these Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
The Service is an independent, supplemental study aid for individuals preparing for the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians and Nurses (“AVECCTN”) Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care — VTS(ECC) — certification examination. It provides practice questions modeled on the published examination blueprint, study guides derived from the recommended-reading textbooks, drug and calculation references, and an AI-assisted study coach.
3. Not affiliated; no guarantee; educational use only
Please read this section carefully.
- Not affiliated or endorsed. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to AVECCTN, any certifying body, or any textbook author or publisher. References to those names are descriptive only.
- No guarantee of results. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in a passing score on the VTS(ECC) examination or any other outcome. Individual results vary.
- A supplement, not a replacement. The Service supplements — and does not replace — the official recommended-reading textbooks or any official examination materials.
- Not clinical advice. Nothing in the Service, including any drug dose, calculation, protocol, or AI-generated response, is intended to guide patient care or clinical decision-making. It is NOT FOR CLINICAL USE. Always verify clinical information against current primary sources (e.g., Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook) and your own professional judgment and institutional protocols.
- Not real exam items. Practice questions are original items modeled on the published blueprint; they are not real, secured examination questions.
4. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for keeping your login secure, and for all activity under your account. Accounts are for a single individual; do not share your login.
- Notify us promptly at arikleine@gmail.com of any unauthorized use.
5. Free beta; future subscriptions
The Service is currently provided free of charge during an invitation-only beta, and no payment information is collected. If paid subscriptions are introduced, pricing, billing frequency, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be presented at the point of purchase and added to these Terms before any charge is made.
6. AI study coach
You understand and agree that:
- Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, even when citing a source. Always verify against the cited primary source and your own judgment.
- The AI coach is a study aid only and is not clinical decision support.
- To generate responses, your questions and relevant retrieved text are processed by third-party AI providers, which may process data outside your country. See the Privacy Policy.
- Do not submit confidential patient-identifying information or personal health information to the AI coach.
7. Intellectual property and license
- Our content. The Service’s original content — our original question wording, explanations, study guides, layout, design, and software — is owned by VTS(ECC) Exam Prep, operated by Ari Kleine or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws.
- Third-party content. Underlying facts, and any content belonging to textbook authors, publishers, or third-party websites, remain the property of their respective owners.
- Your license. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own exam preparation.
- Restrictions. You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, scrape, data-mine, or create derivative works from the Service or its content; share your account; extract the question bank in bulk; or use the Service to build a competing product.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) violate any law; (b) infringe others’ rights; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems; (d) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (e) use automated means (bots, scrapers) except as expressly permitted; or (f) resell or redistribute any part of the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content (including AI-generated content) will be accurate or reliable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VTS(ECC) Exam Prep, operated by Ari Kleine will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service — including any reliance on content or AI-generated responses, or any examination outcome.
11. Termination and changes
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service, and you may stop using the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; for material changes we will provide reasonable notice and update the effective date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
